The University of Lagos (UNILAG) admission process typically involves multiple batches. Here’s a breakdown of the different batches and important dates to keep in mind:
Admission Batches
Merit Batch
This is the first batch of admission, released based on merit. Students who meet the university’s cut-off mark and have the required grades are placed on this list.
Supplementary Batch
This batch is released after the merit list and contains the names of students who were not admitted in the merit list but meet the university’s admission requirements.
Direct Entry Batch
This batch is for students who applied for direct entry admission. Direct entry students are those who have already completed a diploma or NCE program and want to pursue a degree program.
UTME Supplementary Batch
This batch is for students who applied for UTME admission and were not admitted in the merit list.
Change of Course Batch
This batch is for students who applied for a change of course.

How to Check Admission Status
To check your admission status, follow these steps:
1. Visit the JAMB CAPS website at http://jamb.gov.ng/efacility/
2. Enter your username and password to log in
3. Locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status’
4. Select your exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns
5. Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
6. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status’ to check your UNILAG admission status
